UTILITY COMPANIES ENCOURAGE ELECTRIC AND GAS DESIGN BY QUALIFIED DESIGN
FIRMS
Applicant Design
provides the option of gas & electric facilities
designed by a utility qualified independent designer. This alternative
provides additional flexibility, control and choice.
Project Initiation
Request tracking and
work order numbers from Utility. Prepare plans for submittal to
the area utility planner and Applicant Design Coordinator. Secure the necessary
electric circuit maps, electric and gas as-builts and utility gas maps.
Prepare and submit the electric and gas load studies, fusing
request, distribution planning work sheet, gas sizing, conflict check
and Planning and Engineering Questionnaire. Utility will establish the
project into their system and process the above paper work. Secure
land data from Civil Engineering Firm.

Prepare base map drawings in AutoCAD 2004 as required. Prepare the
electric and gas designs to provide service for review by the utility
construction and design checkers. Include cable pulling calculations,
transformer sizing, voltage drop and flicker calculations. Incorporate
design information on base map drawings. Provide a computer disk, to
the utility, that includes the above information.
Complete
Construction Orders
